PIANO STUDIO

As a teacher, my goal is to help each student discover their musical potential and develop a lifelong love of music. Every student is different, so I tailor lessons to each student’s age, interests, experience, and individual learning style.
Through piano lessons, students build a strong technical foundation while developing good practice habits, confidence, and independence. I help students learn new repertoire, improve their listening and problem solving skills, explore music theory and history, and discover a wide range of piano literature. Most importantly, I want students to go beyond simply playing the notes. I encourage them to listen, think, and develop their own musical ideas so they can play with creativity, confidence, and expression.

My studio features two grand pianos, providing a comfortable and inspiring environment for lessons. I also organize studio recitals each semester at UT Austin, giving students the opportunity to perform in a professional concert setting. I help students prepare for music theory exams, competitions, auditions, and other musical goals.
In addition to private piano lessons, I offer chamber music coaching to help students develop ensemble skills, musical communication, and a deeper appreciation for collaborative music making. My goal is to create a positive and supportive learning environment where students can grow as musicians and enjoy making music at every stage of their musical journey.
